This is a custom WordPress theme created to showcase the works of my client. A new look is currently under development and once ready I will release this as a standalone WordPress theme.

Technologies:

  • WordPress

  • HTML5

  • CSS3

  • jQuery

  • PHP7

I developed this theme for my client (and friend) as a means to learn about WordPress development. It has been an exciting journey to not only use Open Source software in development but play with such an extensible platform such as WordPress.

WordPress provides such a powerful tool for content management and a seemingly limitless potential for displaying the content. The only limits appear to be the creativity and skill of the developer.

Bio

For over 15 years I've worked professionally as a chef, but now the time has come for me to hang up my apron and pursue my lifelong passion for computer technology.

Hospitality has taken me around the world. Working as a chef has given me a dedicated work ethic, fostered my social skills and amplified my problem solving capabilities; all qualities I now bring to the table as a certified geek.

I'm an ardent Linux advocate and my main operating system of choice is Arch Linux. On production machines and virtual machines I use Ubuntu, and as all good geeks should, I remain up to date with Windows and MacOS.

If any of this or none of this makes sense to you, let's chat! I speak code and I'm here to help with any and all of your tech needs.
